Once you’ve created a masterpiece, you can submit it to the official CAPlayground gallery. Every submission is reviewed by the team and, once approved, will be available for everyone to see and download.

Submission Requirements

Before you submit, ensure your wallpaper meets these requirements:
  1. Originality: The work must be yours or you must have the rights to use all assets included.
  2. Quality: Wallpapers should not be simple video loops. Use CAPlayground’s layers, animations, and interactive features to create something unique.
  3. Files: You will need:
    • Your project’s .tendies export file.
    • A Preview Video (MP4 or MOV) showing the wallpaper in action.

How to Submit

  1. Open your project in the editor.
  2. Click Export in the top menu.
  3. Select Submit Wallpaper.
  4. Follow the steps in the submission dialog:

Step 1: Details

  • Name: Give your wallpaper a catchy name (max 42 characters).
  • Description: Briefly describe your creation (max 60 characters).
  • Files: Upload your .tendies file and the preview video.

Step 2: Preview

Step 3: Rules & Agreement

You must agree to the community guidelines:
  • No NSFW or adult content.
  • No Offensive Content: No discrimination, hate speech, or inappropriate themes.
  • No Low Effort: Submissions consisting of only a single video layer will be rejected.
  • Copyright: You confirm you have the rights to all assets.

Step 4: Submission

Click Submit Wallpaper. Your project will be uploaded and a Pull Request will be automatically created on the official Wallpapers Repository.

Licensing & Attribution

When you submit a wallpaper to the CAPlayground gallery, you are sharing your work with the community.

Creative Commons

By default, submissions are shared under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This means:
  • Share: Others can copy and redistribute your wallpaper.
  • Adapt: Others can remix, transform, and build upon your work.
  • Attribution: Others must give you appropriate credit for your original creation.
To learn more about how to properly credit authors or to choose the best license for your work, visit the official Creative Commons Website.

Review Process

After submission, your wallpaper enters the review queue:
  • Awaiting Review: The team is checking your submission for quality and rule compliance.
  • Approval: Once approved, it will appear in the gallery on the CAPlayground website and app.
  • Feedback: If your submission is rejected, you will receive feedback on GitHub regarding what needs to be changed.
You can have a maximum of 5 wallpapers awaiting review at any time.
