Welcome to CAPlayground!

CAPlayground is a powerful web-based editor that lets you create beautiful animated wallpapers for iOS and iPadOS devices. No coding required!

What You’ll Need

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
  • An iOS or iPadOS device to apply your wallpaper
  • PocketPoster or Nugget to apply wallpapers to your device

Access CAPlayground

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to https://caplayground.pages.dev
  2. Click Projects -> in the navigation bar
  3. You can also directly visit https://caplayground.pages.dev/projects
Creating an account allows you to save your projects in the cloud and access them from any device. By default, projects are saved to your device and only saved to cloud when enabled and manually clicking Sync to Cloud.

Create Your First Project

  1. From your Projects page, click the New Project button
  2. Give your project a name
  3. Choose your canvas size:
  • Default works on most modern iPhones (390x844)
  • You can enable Set bounds by device to pick an iPhone or iPad.
  • You can also enter custom dimensions.
  1. Click Create to open the editor

The Editor Interface

The CAPlayground editor has four main areas:
  • Layers Panel (left): Manage all your layers
  • Canvas (center): Visual preview of your wallpaper
  • Inspector Panel (right): Edit properties of selected layers
  • States Panel (bottom left): Manage different device states (locked, unlocked, sleep)
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the interface. You can resize panels by dragging their edges.
